1.  How do a 2 Burn Alcohol Fireplace and Log & Grate Insert operate?

2 Burn Alcohol Fireplace and Log & Grate Insert operate on a non-toxic friendly gel called Sunjel TM . The  Sunjel
TM   canister sits in a ‘Fuel Holder Box’ between a set of realistic looking ceramic logs. The  Sunjel TM   is lit with a
long match or barbeque lighter . It is easy to operate and can be shut-down and relit as equipped with a manual
shut-off for safety and convenience.

2.  Is  The  Sunjel TM    safe and is what it is made from?  

The  Sunjel TM   is  the cleanest & safest alcohol gel on market. The  Sunjel TM   has been tested and complies
with all USA and Canadian Government Standards. Sungel is made from pure Isopropyl alcohol and organic
thickeners. It does not self
Ignite, is non-explosive and can be stores at room temperature. It is the only fireplace gel on the market with a ULC
approval.

3. How long does the  The  Sunjel TM   burn for ?

The  Sunjel TM   burn for 2 to 3 hours depending on a number of variables. The number of canisters will affect burn
time. More than one canister increases the overall temperature and, therefore- increases the burn rate and burn
time. Other variables such as humidity levels and altitude levels will affect burn time.  The unit does not have to be
burned for the complete cycle once lit because 2 Burn Fireplaces and Inserts are equipped with a manual shut-off
so that you can control how long you want to have a fire.

4. Do I need a chimney or vent for an Alcohol Fireplace?

There is no chimney or venting required for 2 Burn Fireplaces. The  Sunjel TM   burns clean, free of smoke and
fumes and, therefore, makes the fireplaces exempt from standard exterior venting. The main bi-product of the burn
is a water vapor. All 2 Burn Fireplaces are ULC (Underwriters’ Laboratories of Canada) approved for vent free use
and have been certified to USA and Canadian Government Standards. ULC-CAN3-B140.9.9-M86.

5. What is involved with installing a 2 Burn Fireplace?

There is a minor assembly required but no installation. 2 Burn Fireplace & Insert do not require natural gas,
electrical or propane services. All units are portable and freestanding.

6. Will a 2 Burn Fireplace heat my house?

The units are designed as a heat supplement and not a heat source. At full capacity, the units will yield
approximately 9000 BTU’s  per hour, which will bring ample warmth to a typical room.  Sunjel TM   burns into water
vapor so the increased humidity also helps increase warmth in a room. Remember, there is no exterior venting
required, so 100% efficiency is attained.

7.  How many canisters of  Sunjel TM   can  I Burn at one time? Is there a maximum restriction?
You can burn from or to the three canisters of  Sunjel TM   at one time with three canisters being the maximum. Two
canisters is the most popular, as you will get supplemental heat and a beautiful fire as well.

8. Do the Fireplaces require maintenance and what do we with empty canisters?

The Fireplaces and Inserts are virtually maintenance free. They require minimal dusting a damp cloth. Empty The  
Sunjel TM    canisters are recyclable and can be disposed of in your re-cycle bin. Check with your local municipal by-
laws.

9.  How do the Log & Grate Inserts work and where can they be used?

The Log & Grate Inserts have been deigned for use in existing functional and non-functional wood burning
fireplaces. The mess and fuss associated with burning real wood is eliminated making having a fire easy and
convenient.

10. What are the logs made out of?

The realistic looking fire logs are made out of steel reinforced ceramic. They are heat resistant to the USA and
Canadian Standards and they are hand painted for a realistic effect to resemble ‘cedar’
